Today, the estate is under the leadership of Geoffroy Moncany de Saint Aignan and it spans approximately fifteen hectares of vineyards in the Haut-Médoc AOP Appellation, located in Cissac-Médoc, bordering the prestigious appellations of Saint-Estèphe and Pauillac.

Preserving biodiversity is of utmost importance to us, and our vineyards benefit from natural surroundings with adjacent forests. We are committed to sustainable agriculture and proudly hold the HVE3 certification. This third-party certification guarantees our expertise in various environmental practices as well as our commitment to promoting a balanced ecosystem within our terroirs.

Throughout the year, our estate receives invaluable technical support from Éric Boissenot and his oenological team. Éric Boissenot supports the production of some of the finest grand crus in the region and with their guidance we are able to create wines that are harmonious, balanced and elegant – truly revealing the unique characteristics of our terroirs.

WINE AND TERROIR

Château Bertrand Braneyre´s vineyard spans approximately fifteen hectares, featuring plots of vines planted in clay-limestone sandy soils that are ideal for producing high-quality wines.
The predominant grape varieties in the blend include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

The average age of the vines is 25 years, and the yield ranges from 20 to 45 hectoliters per hectare, depending on the age of the vines.
The older vines produce a lower yield but will give more concentrated and well-structured wines.
Following fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for one year, including one-third of new barrels, allowing optimal development of the wine. Our objective is to craft a charming, elegant, refined and age worthy wine with silky tannins.
